A minor was killed and two other people were injured in a fight between neighbors in the province of Mendoza. Three people have been detained in connection with the case. According to initial information, the victim was shot in the right hemithorax. The homicide occurred early Wednesday morning at the intersection of 1° de Mayo and Matienzo streets in the Mendoza locality of Godoy Cruz, when neighbors began to argue over a long-standing conflict. During the fight, shots were fired, injuring three people, one of whom died in the hospital. The victim was identified as Joaquín Isaias Morales Contreras, 17, who was shot in the right hemithorax. Regarding the other injured, they are 22 and 16 years old. One of them suffered a gunshot wound with an entry point in the left chest and an exit on the left back. As confirmed by sources familiar with the case to the Argentine News Agency, the investigation has been handed over to the Homicide and Institutional Violence Unit, under the direction of prosecutor Andrea Lazo, who ordered three people to be detained: a woman and her two minor sons. 'For the moment, no accusation or procedural situation has been decided for them, so advances in this regard will be reported in the coming hours,' they explained.
